The company is presenting four scientific abstracts that address laboratory quality assessment and accreditation.

Controllab will be present at the 41st ISQua International Conference (International Society for Quality in Health Care), from October 12 to 15, 2025, at the World Trade Centre in São Paulo, in partnership with the National Accreditation Organization (ONA).

The event will bring together specialists and global leaders to discuss this year’s central theme: “Inclusive health systems: addressing challenges with technology and humanity.” The program includes lectures, roundtables, workshops, and other activities focused on the advances and challenges in healthcare quality.

By participating in another significant international event, Controllab reaffirms its commitment to promoting knowledge, innovation, and excellence, sharing experiences, and following discussions that directly impact the sector.

Scientific abstracts

During the ISQua International Conference, Controllab will present four scientific abstracts highlighting the importance of external quality assessment and international benchmarking in the context of laboratory accreditation:

  • Laboratory Performance in Molecular Detection of High-Risk HPV: Commercial Kits Outperform Laboratory-Developed Test.
  • Progress in HIV Diagnostics: A 14-Year Review of Point-of-Care Testing Performance and Quality Assessment.
  • Strengthening Diagnostic Quality and Patient Safety: Insights from a Long-Term External Quality Assessment of D-dimer Testing.
  • Impact of Laboratory Accreditation on the Performance of Quality Indicators in an International Indicator Benchmarking Program.

These studies reinforce Controllab’s role in promoting safe, reliable laboratory practices that align with international quality standards.

ICLAP: standard of excellence recognized by ISQua

The standard underpinning ICLAP (International Clinical Laboratories Accreditation Program) — a laboratory accreditation program developed by Controllab with international reach — is accredited by ISQuaEEA (International Society for Quality in Health Care External Evaluation Association). This recognition demonstrates the program’s robustness and its adherence to the highest international standards.

ICLAP accreditation certifies that a laboratory adopts practices aligned with quality, patient safety, and continuous improvement, representing a differentiator for international laboratories of all sizes seeking to strengthen their credibility and expand their positioning in the sector.
